Tonight was the night of Earth Hour 2008, an hour when you shut off your lights for global warning awareness. I was signed up for it for a long time before it even got any type of big media attention. It was something I was really interested in doing and very proud to see that a lot of my friends felt the same way.
So here are some vids that I took.
First one is when Earth Hour started out. My hour started before 8pm. This is when the lights all around started to go off. Enjoy my boring-ish randomness.
So that is that...
Then a few minutes later, I decided to go out on my balcony and take some footage there, too, since lighting was a little more easy to view. You could see the lights properly, and not so much the ones that were off... which was my idea. And once again... There is some major footage of me, being a dumbass, not knowing exactly what to say.
Relish in the humour of my awkward moments... Now....
I was COLD! Stupid wind. If it wasn't for the wind, I would have been alright.
So then for about 45 minutes more, I just lay in bed staring out the window and watching the satellites and planes pass by. Pretty interesting, actually. Then Earth Hour was finally over and it was time to put the lights back on kill the candles. So here is the "symbolic" ending I made to Earth Hour 2008. It was pretty!
Hope you did your part and participated in Earth Hour, too :-)
